Coins Are Gaining Some Value

I was once a stamp collector, and I did a little coin collecting.  My daughter has picked up where I left off.  Whenever she gets a chance she tries to get any unique coins that she wants.  When we went to the Bahamas she requested a dollar worth of coins so that she could put them in her collection.  She has found many other odd coins.  I told her to put them away in a safe place and down the road she may want to part with it.

She doesn’t understand that coins in a bank aren’t safe.  Whenever she cashes her change in for dollar bills she realizes at the end that she has her collectible coins in there.  She has since asked for a collecting book of some sort.

This only comes up because my daughter has been searching the web for places that buy, and sell coins.  She found one site that lists prices, and even sells coins that are ungraded.  I told her to just buy Morgan dollar coins after I looked through the site.  The are old, and look like they may have a great value in the future.

Summer “Fun” Has Begun

I usually don’t like this time of year.  This is the time of year when the kids are home, and schedules get really screwed up.  This is also the time of year when it seems like money is getting spent almost as bad as Christmas time.

huskyJust a few weeks ago I decided to get some work done around the house.  My wife requested that I power wash the house, and get some other work done.  Out came my Husky power washing unit that I got a few years back.  My neighbor “B” came out and offered to let me use his power washer.  We also had some trees removed so I had to work around them.  After power washing the house finding where the ants were coming from became easier.  After talking to a few people I found out that the amount of rainfall has made a lot of ants head for their homes as well.

My wife got a fire pit from me for Christmas last year and she has been anxious to use it.  We went to Harbor Freight and purchased a wood splitter.  We probably won’t use it again after this year, but it was worth it just to make her happy.

If I was a bit better off for money I would probably just hire someone to do the things around my house.  I am not against work, but it just never seems to end.

Something About Children

From time to time we are sent things to put on our sites for you to think about, and even respond to.  Here is something about custody, and children.

Couples with children getting divorced can have joint custody?

This means one night a week for the day and every other weekend visit with his children.

How do you feel about that especially if the Dad is a devoted father that spends all his free time with his children because they are attached to him?

He has his own business comes homes every evening to be with the children.  The son cannot wait for his dad to come home.  He spends every weekend with them.

Do you feel it’s time to change the law?

Do you feel the mothers have a lot on their plate working with the children all week long except for one night a week?

Do you feel that Dads should have more weekly time with their children and work out the weekends according to everyone’s agenda especially if the children are under 5?

What happens between adults is one thing but trying to keep more of a secure family environment is another.
