Each year it seems like I have to replace something that is continually outside. In my house this stands true for our garden hose most. Up to last year we were continually replacing them because we had a dog that liked to chew on things. I had told my wife that maybe we could get something like the Delafield metal hose so that we wouldn’t have to worry about the dog chewing it anymore.
Now that Dino is no longer with us we have other things that seem to go on the same type of schedule. Our rakes, shovels, and other yard tools all seem to have handles that rot out after 1-2 seasons. I know… Maybe I should just purchase the ones that have fiberglass handles. Well, with the cost of them usually doubling a cheap one I am starting to come to the same conclusion.
