No Way Sprint. Keep Your IPhone.

Now that Sprint has released the IPhone we have toying with the idea of allowing our daughter to change out her phone for one.  What I didn’t know was a lot of information that my mother gave me the other day.  From my understanding the IPhone requires a special protection plan, and on top of that when something goes wrong with one then you need to take it back to a Apple store.

This has caused me to rethink the entire situation.  I have enough nightmares with the Sprint store in Brick, NJ.  I don’t feel that I should be getting a phone from Sprint, and having to take it to another retailer for servicing when necessary.

-Includes 2 accidental repairs & $49 service fee on top of each of those 2.

The original situation came because my daughter wanted a IPod Touch 16gb.  This was only because her friends have IPod Touch units.  She has an Android phone.  It does everything that an IPod does.  I just don’t understand the mind of my child.

School Is About To Start Again

Now that summer is just about over our little one has to look forward to returning to school.  Last year she walked to school.  This will be her first year riding a bus.  This will be a new experience for all of us.  When we walked her to school we would continue on afterwards and take our daily walk around the neighborhood.  With her going by bus it will definitelly be a change.  I will have to find ways to convince my wife to get her butt moving to take her walk.  She may have to find some weight loss pills at the rate she is going.

Our little one is going to be having a test run here at the house in preparation for those early morning bus stops.  We tried it once, and she was fine.  Once more should be what tells us if we are going to have to really be strict about what time she gets up, and also goes to bed.

My Daughter Is Antsy For An IPod

Since I got into the computer field I have never been a very big fan of Apple products.  In the recent years they have come out with some things that have made me think about this.  They do have a very nice MP3 player (IPod), and the tablet would be really cool if I could afford one.

My daughter got a Zen a few years ago, and back then this was one of the best MP3 players available.  It didn’t only do music.  It did video, pictures, podcasts, and more.  A friend of our little one has an IPod, and has gotten my daughter so hyped that she is now nagging us for an IPod.  I know how she is with her stuff so I think that it may be an option down the road.  If we did this we would have to hunt around to find out which store has the best ipod cases that protect against water because I don’t want her to have it get wet, and ruined.

She is very responsible, and even when she broke her cell phone screen she paid for the part, and I made the repair.  Our little one doesn’t expect us to fix something that she has broken.  Maybe I got lucky having a child that understands about money, and things.
