Trying Out Smoking Alternatives

Have you ever gone somewhere like an amusement park, and had to hunt for a place to smoke?  I have had this issue for years in Disney, and I thought I may have found the solution.  I have been smoking for the most part of the past 20+ years.  I have wanted to quit smoking several times, but can never make it work.  We stopped smoking in the house so that we wouldn’t have cigarette smell, etc. in direct contact with our daughter.  I want to quit so that I can be around for many more years, so that I can see my little one grow up.

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a product known as electronic cigarettes.  While I feel the product could help someone quit I didn’t get to evaluate it to the best capabilities that I could.  This was because the package that I was sent came with a 6mg cartridge.  For heavy smokers there is a stronger cartridge that you can start with.  To give the effect of actually smoking there is a light that comes on when you take a puff from the cigarette.  The only other negative thing that I see about these is that they are sightly heavier than a regular cigarette.

In the future when I can take the time to evaluate this method again I will purchase the stronger cartridges, and see how it goes.

Working At Sony… The Things You Get Asked

I have worked for my own company for over 15 years, and I never got to experience customers the way that I got to while I worked at Sony as a salesperson.  When I worked at Sony I never expected to hear some of the outlandish things that I did hear.  Keep in mind that above our store was a BIG sign with the company name on it.  You expect to hear some questions about a product specification, but the ones that took the cake were:

  • Where are the XBox360 units?

and

On top of that you would always get someone that would come in, and show a flyer for a competitor, and ask if we could beat their price… Meanwhile our price was on a sign showing a lower price than the competitor already was.  Maybe it was me, but an awful lot of people asked the same questions on an almost daily basis.

Have you ever had a really off question get asked to you, and you wonder what tree that person came out from under?

Amelia DVD Review

After watching this movie we found it to be a very educational film.  The movie seemed to capture everything that most people would know from what they may have learned in school.  The movie made Hilary Swank, and Richard Gere performed very well.  The scenery in the movie was stunning.  The costumes fit the period well.
