New Coffee Machine

If you read my site, then you probably read my story about my Cuisinart coffee machine dying.  If you didn’t, then you can read it by clicking HERE.

dgb-900bcI recently got to try out a new coffee machine because my old one had died a miserable death.  I tested out a Cuisinart Burr Grind & Brew Thermal 12 Cup Coffeemaker.  Upon initial viewing it looks like you need a college degree to operate the unit.  I have come to find out the unit is actually very easy to use.

On the top of the machine is a hopper that holds 1/2 lbs of coffee beans for making fresh ground coffee.  You can adjust the brew strength on the machine by pressing a button on the front.  There is also a dial for how many cups of coffee you are grinding so that you don’t overgrind the beans.  The machine also comes with a reusable filter so that you don’t have to purchase paper filters.

The container that the coffee goes into is thermal, so it holds the coffee hot for as long as it can.  Clean up of the machine is very easy.  There is an included water filter that slides into the water portion of the machine.

The one thing that I don’t like about the machine is that if the coffee gets to cold you can’t just turn the machine on, and heat up the coffee.  With this situation I have to pour the coffee into a cup, and microwave it.

The machine has a MSRP of $199.99.  To read more about this machine, or to purchase the machine you can click HERE for the Cuisinart site, or you can visit some of your local retailers.

You can also check it out by visiting the 1st In Coffee site.  You will find a lot of other machines like Espresso, Capresso, and industrial ones.

Who Pulled The Blanket Off?

We have a serious issue in my bedroom.  The wife will not allow me to have the blanket.  Sure we both start out under the blanket, but by the middle of the night she seems to have the entire blanket on her side, and she also happens to be rolled into it like one of those cocktail dishes.

I have come to the conclusion that I am going to need some additional heating measures in my bed so that I don’t freeze at night now that the winter is here.  I have looked into Snuggies, my own blanket, and even heated mattress pads.  I don’t know which will perform the best.

How many guys out there have a similar issue with their wife?

Strange Things That Come In Your Email

For quite some time I have gotten some weird things in my email from people I don’t know, and friends also.  Most of the time they are jokes, and weird adult things…  Well, the other day I found that somehow either my wife, or I had signed up for notifications about reviews that others post on the internet.

I am not a big clothing, and makeup person, as most guys aren’t.  I am finding some of the technology, and medical reviews interesting.  Things that pertain to my family, and life are very important.  The wife showed me one that came in on acne treatment reviews, and we both started looking further into this, as the little one is at the age where acne is going to play an important part of her life.

What kind of reviews do you look for on the web?
