I recently got to try out a new coffee machine because my old one had died a miserable death. I tested out a Cuisinart Burr Grind & Brew Thermal 12 Cup Coffeemaker. Upon initial viewing it looks like you need a college degree to operate the unit. I have come to find out the unit is actually very easy to use.
On the top of the machine is a hopper that holds 1/2 lbs of coffee beans for making fresh ground coffee. You can adjust the brew strength on the machine by pressing a button on the front. There is also a dial for how many cups of coffee you are grinding so that you don’t overgrind the beans. The machine also comes with a reusable filter so that you don’t have to purchase paper filters.
The container that the coffee goes into is thermal, so it holds the coffee hot for as long as it can. Clean up of the machine is very easy. There is an included water filter that slides into the water portion of the machine.
The one thing that I don’t like about the machine is that if the coffee gets to cold you can’t just turn the machine on, and heat up the coffee. With this situation I have to pour the coffee into a cup, and microwave it.
